About the CAT
The Distributed Component Oriented Programming using the Component Architecture Toolkit (D'COPI/CAT, or simply "the CAT") is a component-based software toolkit designed to facilitate the construction of high-performance scientific applications that can efficiently operate in heterogeneous distributed computing environments.
The CAT is composed of several cooperating subsystems: the CAT framework manager, the CAT GUI workspace, and the Resource Information Service (RIS). A brief overview of each subsystem is presented below.
