Nexus
Nexus is a communication library and run-time system used as a basis for
developing parallel libraries and languages. It is used as the core
communication module in the Globus toolkit. HPC++ currently provides a
run-time system based on the Nexus version 4.1. This run-time system can be
used for high-performance applications that run in a trusted and secure
environment with no need for client-server mutual authentication. For
insecure environments, the Globus based run-time system is more
appropriate.
This run-time system uses Nexus mechanisms for remote context creation which
typically are based on rsh thus making them insecure.
