Cosmological Evolution Archetypes
Goal: Simulation of the Universe from a period just after
the big bang to now. To decide if current theories of large
scale structure formation match the observed universe.
There are three classes of archtetypes:
- Initial Conditions. To compute the initial conditions
of the expansion phase of the evolution just after the big bang.
- Fluid Flow Models. Simulate the flow of matter as
a fluid subject to gravetational forces.
- Particle Based Methods. Simulate the
evolution as a large number of particles (galexies) subject to gravitational
forces.
Fluid Flow Modeling
- Algorithms. (this archetype is a special subclass of
the 3D compressible flow CFD archtetype.)
- Visualization Results.
