README for cvsClient

First, you need to unpack the distribution. Go to the directory where cvsdemo.tar.Z resides, and type:

   uncompress cvsdemo.tar.Z
   tar -xf cvsdemo.tar

This will create the subdirectory cvsdemo in the current working directory.

Next, make sure appletviewer is in your PATH. If it isn't, you'll need to edit the file cvsdemo/cvsClient and replace the line,

   APP=appletviewer

with the full pathname to appletviewer.

At this point, you can now change to the cvsdemo directory and run cvsClient as follows:

   ./cvsClient &
