Yeah, it may be that 64-bit compilation solves this. Unfortunately :-),
I can't use 64-bit compilation -- I'm experimenting with ILU (writing
some distributed pc++ compute servers) and ILU is not 64-bit clean. The
optimization problem is not serious right now, and when it becomes a
problem I should be able to compile on our 32-bit SGI Indys.
