I do not know how busy any of you are this summer, but if there are
any Sage++ folks (Beata? are there more?) that are interested in
tackling some medium-sized changes in Sage++, I would love to offer
my assistance.
Big changes that users would notice might include:
1. Reworking the type system so that similar types are represented by
a type entry, or some other change to make comparison of types more
robust.
2. Deprecate low_level.c functions, so that the functionality all
moves through the C++ class interface. This would enable class
designers to use more of the power of C++.
I know that there are a lot of other things that may have priority,
but I thought I'd offer my help if anyone was interested in talking
about a project along these lines.
