Restarting MDS server

To restart a GIIS/GRIS on a host, execute (from that host)

sudo /etc/init.d/rc.host restart gris

Beth's Machines

GT3.0.1 is also installed on ginkgo.cs and bitternut.cs. They both use the same grid-mapfile as the extreme machines.

Chinkapin (LEAD testbed)

GT3.0.2 is installed on chinkapin. See the following install log for notes, although in general the install was straightforward. Currently only GRAM and GridFTP are enabled.

Firewall settings

Chinkapin has a firewall. Ports 2219 and 2811 are open for GRAM and GridFTP. Also, the controllable ephemeral ports 40000-41000 are open.
