Currently, the raw gini (GOES) data is not being stored. ACARS data has not been requested and is not currently being served by LDM.

Usage Notes

To see a real time view of products that are streaming in, type:

    ldmadmin watch
    

To see a brief summary of queue activity, type:

    pqmon

Installation Notes

LDM was built on chinkapin for the LEAD project. It is installed locally on chinkapin.

See the install log below for details. Important points of the installation:

• ldm's home directory is /u/ldm, but ldm also has a /home/ldm directory on chinkapin. Also, /usr/local/ldm is a symlink to /home/ldm. Some things like the ldm installation are in /home/ldm so that they aren't on NFS. In fact, everything is on /home/ldm. There is now a symlink from /u/ldm/ldmhome to /home/ldm.
• Followed the LEAD specific instructions which can be found here.
• I set the product queue size to 1 gigabyte.
• chinkapin has a firewall. Port 388 is opened for ldm.
