  If the package you've installed has a directory layout that corresponds to GNU coding standards, then you can use the stow tool to automatically create links to the /l/local directory. Please don't use stow if the package doesn't conform to GNU coding standards; otherwise the /l/local directory will get too cluttered with oddly-named directories. In that case, please install links by hand.
