The goal of an Application Factory Web Service is to abstract out the complex task of application deployment and management from the application user. The web-page and the links here describe an Application Factory Web Service that has been designed to create instances of distributed applications. Applications are defined as a network of well-tested and deployed components. In this model both the executing component instances and the ensemble composition are web services.
