Introduction

WS-MsgBox provides a service which is similar to P.O. Mail Boxes but works for Web Services that uses WS-Addressing. WS-MB allows clients that do not have endpoints such as clients sitting behind firewall or running as applets inside browser to use message box address as their address. WS-MsgBox service can make your WS clients into true WS peers!

Why do we need WS-MsgBox?

• Do you have applets or services that are behind firewalls but need to receive asynchronous messages such as when they subscribe with WS-Eventing compliant source?
• Do you mobile services that may be disconnected and change or get new IP address each time they connect?

Future Work

It would be good to make message boxes persistent (use RDBMS or real email box - such as Hotmail or Gmail :)),  support simple authentication (now "uniqueness" of GUID is only protection), ...
